    However I think you're tonearm is medium mass so might accommodate a wider variety of styli? Sorry I only know what works for my TT.

    Compliance relates to the stiffness of the stylus cantilever. High compliance means low stiffness. Basically it's better to match high compliance stylus with low mass tonearms and visa versa, but with a medium mass tonearm (as I understand the RPM genie is at 13.5g) you have more options.

    The Ortofon OM series are all high compliance, and basically the only option for "ultra-low mass" tonearms, so generally people replace like with like, hence why Airhead said to check, but googling shows the RPM with various different styli from stock.

  • @neu thanks again for the info. Think I will go for the 5e or 3e, £40 ish. Unless there is something obviously better for my money? don't really want to spend more than that
