They describe in quite a lot of detail how it isn't, at least internally, plus if you own both, like I do, you will notice they are very different in shape, hence my earlier post about me doubting compatibility.

Hudz are probably what I'm thinking of. They've been around years, but I didn't know they were now ODI.

Following needs to be taken with huge grains of salt...
Spoke to a Shimano rep and 12sp Dura Ace and Ultegra will be announced in June this year. With usual OEM only for 2022 models with availability of loose groupsets in Q2 2022.
New parts will likely be available through "other channels" but strictly taken, we can expect consumer availability in Q3-4 2022. As there is already a waiting list being built op for "official dealers".
Roll out and models will be the same as current generation, but due to semi-conductor crisis, there might be a delay in Di2 variants. Also no insight on rumored wireless stuff.
So actually nothing new...

12 speed will happen its inevitable, they have gone all the way down to Deore in MTB for 12 speed.
More than reps 'journos' will know, just under embargo.
It will undoubtedly better than Sram and that chain that you HAVE to buy from sram.

I look forward to cheaper 11spd parts... until they stop making them and demand surges and all my shit is redundant... oh

Like the 11sp Etap front mech I recently bent the cage on!

• #8083
there is also a new layer on top of this; nothing is in stock
-
• #8084
Yeah because I bought it all over the last 5 years.
Nah, I need to get another 11spd 11-42 cassette to stick on the Mason for TIBR (the old one went on the gravel Tripster).

get that e*thirteen one 9-46 !
-
• #8086
I don't think the RD will work with that. Also don't need high gears, I need lower gears.
-
• #8087
You'll be OK. SRAM released a new eTap 11 speed rear derailleur a while back just for replacements and recalls. Mostly recalls, I'd imagine.

It better be with how late it is...

A 9t cog paired with a 32t would be equivalent to a 40x11 (55kph @ 120rpm with 2" 650b), but the 32x46 would then be equivalent to a 40x57, no?

Too many numbers. What do they mean?
-
• #8091
What is the low gear ratio you need/want?
EDIT: Meaning, what chainring are you looking to pair with what biggest cassette sprocket?
-
• #8092
11 more big than 9. 11 need big front. 9 only need small front to go fast
-
• #8093
Shorter chain, smaller cassette, yadda yadda yadda.. It's quite remarkable what possibilities a 9t cog actually unlocks!

I'm not working out ratios or anything funky. I know a 42T MTB cassette works on my bike (having used one previously) and I simply want another one, having moved the old one to the gravel bike. I'm not about to muck about with aftermarket cassettes when I know I have something that works. One thing that did cross my mind was that now I have a 24mm axle on my gravel bike PM, I could swap that into the road bike and get 32/46 up front on that, so I'd have even lower gearing (if I could be bothered doing the swap).

Ultra bike. I ain't pedaling if I'm going fast. I'm probaby eatin' or tweetin'
-
• #8096
Wasn't this the "micro drive" trend of the 90s?
-
• #8097
Wasn't cycling in the 90s, dunno

32x9 sounds like an hemorrhage of watts and a lot of chain wear.
Off the top of my head, no.
You have access to the internet though, so presumably a website http://www.google.com is available to you?
