Seems like there will be some kind of permadeath option once you've revived (and grown older) a certain number of times. You'll probably have to start from the beginning after that point as your young self..

I just finished with subnautica, awesome game. Not to grindy for a survival game, nice story and an amazing setting. Also not too much hand holding about where to go/what to do - which i appreciate. -kind of like outer wilds in the sea

Tried Dauntless with my mates last night, bit underwhelming and feels like a fairly low ceiling as to how much it would change with time so we're dropping that one

Put an hour in last night, beat Phalanx. Getting to him was harder than he was!

I’m working my way through it after the Play at Home freebie and, although I love it for the same reasons you’ve mentioned (actual discovery in every sense!) the draw distance and pop-in are just appalling. It just slows the pace down to a crawl and affects exploration so much. I don’t want to stop but I can’t help but wonder at what else I’m missing because it just didn’t spawn from 10m out.

True, the pop in is pretty terrible. A bit odd considering the draw distances underwater are pretty small because of the fogging. I read the developers actually improved it a fair bit since launch - there was videos of people crashing into mountains before they've even rendered.

Has anyone played Borderlands 3 yet? Just finishing up 2 again for the first time in years.

After just recently saying how first party Switch games are never discounted, X-COM Mario (Mario + Rabids Kingdom Battle) is now down to €15. Obviously a little bit more light-weight than others in the genre, but I think it's a pretty decent effort.

Is BL3 mostly a small tweaking of the BL format? Or is there anything new and exciting that should make me rush to play 3?

Only briefly started it, claptrap is the first voice you hear, so far so standard.

Other than new characters it looks just like regular BL fodder

anyone else regretting spending money on the literally unplayable Outriders? Can't even get past the sign in screen. Oh and of course the playstore doesn't do refunds.

Do you ever watch Gmanlives on YT? His latest review is of Outriders. He's my go to for any FPS/TPS reviews, even for shit I'll never play because console.

I've been playing it on gamepass, the servers where screwed on the bank holiday weekend but its been alright for me since.

I've been playing outriders since the servers got fixed but I'm really having trouble with writing and voiceover work - its abysmal

Appreciated the cowboy hat/oakley/moustache look on this guy though
