You need either a phono preamp and active speakers, a phono preamp, a power amp and passive speakers, or an integrated amp with a phono stage and passive speakers.

The one you have seems to be discontinued, so the 5E is now the entry level product and it's not materially cheaper than the 10

Sure, give me a shout when you have decided what you're going for. I upgraded my amp to a Marantz PM6007 (it was in a bargain bundle with speakers) which has a built-in phono stage so it's now surplus to requirements.
