What I’ve been reading lately is that the benefits of wider tires diminish if the rider weight is too low, kind of obvious I suppose. I’m somewhere around 67kg and am finding that 38mm is the widest I need, for road riding anyway.
I’m in the high 70’s now. I think. TBH, I just like the look of big tyres and mudguards.
