In the Map screen I start from my current location and move the cursor to a new location, select it and click on [Go], followed by [On Road for Distance], the 32x unit then calculates a route and provides turn-by-turn visual arrows on the displayed route and text prompts in the window at the top of the map. YouTube videos suggest the turn instructions should be preceded by tone warnings (Early Turn Warning, and Final Tone Warning in the tone settings).
