It's somehow been six months since we moved in and in that time we have:
Ripped up the carpets
Had whole house re-wired (guy missed like 4 outlets)
Nothing else, we still haven't even unpacked any boxes
The anniversary prompted a sudden flurry of activity and we paid a plasterer to patch up after the electrician. He did an amazingly shit job and the walls now have all sorts of intriguing curves and bulges. Thought about quibbling but too English, so just paid and then painted over it in a zesty green which actually does distract very well from the artisan texturing.
Bolstered by my painting success, I am now firmly back on the home renovation train. Our house has no hallway, and not only does the front door open into the living room, it also opens directly onto the stairs. Does anyone else have this set-up? I need #designinspiration.
