I'm thinking about getting either a Specialized Power or Pro Stealth saddle, has anyone compared them or happen to know which would provide the most setback?

I don’t think it will work very well. Nothing adheres particularly well to ABS and the paint thickness will interfere with the fit between blocks. It’ll chip off at all the contact points.

Colour them in with a permanent marker? Doesn't sound very practical as I'd need to do 300 pieces.

Second point I'll give you, but it's perfectly possible to put a good paint job on ABS, and one or two of my second hand Duplo bricks have no-prep rattle can overspray on them which is proving extremely durable 🤨

I've found some kind of close enough matches from stock Lego pieces which seems much easier

I'd have to ask a chemist, and he's probably asleep. As with any plastic, you need to choose a compatible paint.

In 2019 I booked a cottage for 12 for my stag do for may 2020, in april 2020 I moved my booking to July 2020.

In June 2020 I moved my booking to May 2021.

It was booked through HomeAway.co.uk, HomeAway has now been taken offline and absorbed into vrbo.com.
If I look at my booking on vrbo, its 'completed' and took place in May 2020, I however have my 'in-app chat' history in vrbo I had with the owner of the cottage about moving to May 2021, and him confirming that.

I have no other 'proof' or any confirmation other than that 'in app' message.
The owner hasn't responded to me for over a month with me asking for more information and updates, through multiple messages.

If it’s all in the UK/EU you can use your bank as a last resort to get your money back. You paid for a service, it’s not been provided and the seller refuses to answer comms., so there’s scope for UK banks to investigate it as fraud. IME it’s very straightforward to do, the bank does nearly everything behind the scenes. I don’t know if there’s a time limit to request it or if it will apply to your circumstances, but a few online messages to recover £1000 seems worth it.

I have a lynskey 29er. It’s a bit old now but otherwise fine. However it only takes a 27.2 seat post. The seat tube has an insert and it appears it reduces the size down from 31.8 to 27.2. I’d like to remove the insert and get the frame drilled to take a dropper post.

There was a member here who had a lynskey made on one ti bike and he had a similar insert removed.

Who would over such a service and what’d be the likely cost? Or should I try to use caustic soda to remove the insert and just get a bike shop to ream the seat tube of what ever has been used to bond the insert to the frame?

Where does one find a powerbank to dimensions? I want it to be comfortably fit at the base/bottom of my top tube bag, take all the available horizontal space, but stay thin so I still have plenty of room left. 10,000 mAh should be OK. The area dimensions are roughly 225 x 45mm (45 can stretch a little bit, 225 is max and including plugs etc) and I want it to be no more than 10 mm in height... It's not a common dimension, most products are either too wide or too thick.

Did anybody DIY a "link-sausage form factor" powerbank before and put it inside the downtube? Just get a few cells that fit the bill (CR123A?) and shrinkwrap them, connect them (series/parallel/separately) like sausage links and insert them in the downtube from the BB side, or if possible into the top tube from the headset side? Not sure about where to put the dis/charging circuitry though.

I just want onboard GoPro footage without the hassle of changing batteries and/or missing footage due to forgetting to check power and/or recording status. Maybe a GoPro remote on the handlebars could be easier? Not sure and I'd still need to charge/change for power.

Does anyone know where I can buy new sealed bearings for a Stronglight A9 headset? One bearing is very grindy and it seems sillly buying a whole new headset... The only shop selling them that I can find is Peter White Cycles

Yep, later ones use sealed bearings.

Try Simply Bearings, or somewhere like SJS Cycles.

Anyone here own and used an old Chris King noThreadset, the ones that came with an o ring instead of a compression ring for the top bearings?

I'm looking at a 1991 Dawes mtb in Reynolds 500 and wanted to know if there is going to be any funny sizing to thwart a build. I've got a 9 speed Deore gear set I want to use.

1. canti spacing: can I use modern canti / v brakes or will they be narrow only allowing a limited choice of cantis?
   
2. seatpost size?
   
3. 1" or 1⅛"?
   
4. is 1⅛" threaded cross compatible with 1⅛" threadless/ahead? ie can I just get a 1⅛" threadless fork and a new headset?
   
5. wheel spacing? Anything funny?

Which bike question, asking for a friend. They have plenty of experience on a trainer (Peleton). Want to ride a couple of laps of Richmond Park occasionally, friends they know who ride with are on carbon road bikes with all the trim. If you assumed the budget would get you into the golf club where would you look at frames/components.

My advice so far has been, don't even get started but they are keen to give it a go and it would be good to encourage someone to do some riding right? Maybe even hiring first, are there any good places around Richmond Park to do that from?

How hard is it to write what sounds to me like a simple plugin for a website? More specifically, it is for RidewithGPS, and what I am hugely keen to be able to do (but falls on deaf ears when I have suggested it to them) is to be able, on the search page, to search not just by "Starts within" but also by "Finishes within" - to my mind that massively improves the search facility to the extent it's weird it's not already an option, can I personally come across the need to be able to do that all the time... I'm wondering if it would be possible to just do it myself...!

I'm sure it's a lot harder than it sounds, but interested to know exactly how hard!

Should be fine. I have TRP Eurox cantis on a 1992-ish fork. I expect the brake pads are mounted a few mm further on their studs because I have fairly skinny wheels by today's standards but it all fits and works fine. I've also had DX V brakes on that fork.

Could be either of those, or maybe 1-1/4". 1-1/4" is fine but bear a few things in mind:
-you have very limited choice of stems and headsets
-you won't be able to go threadless like you're planning to without some careful headset planning
-if you just want to use an a-head style stem you'll only be able to use the Nitto mt Column which is $$$ and impossible to find anywhere

Pretty sure it is, yes.

The frame might be 130mm OLN spacing at the back. Newer stuff will be 135mm+ but 9-speed will be fine with any of those.

No, 26" 559 on mtb is 26" 559 on mtb and there are loads of widths to choose from.
