I'm assuming that's a kid-free room?

I'd mix up some Toupret quite loose and fill with a euro knife, then sand down, wipe and let it dry. Then paint with something like zinsser gardz primer and then paint with emulsion feathering the edges to blend the join.

In my wildest dreams
It’s not a cat free room either, sadly

Not seen one of those before, looks useful. Cheers

Has a bra gone missing recently?
Probably worth while checking the filter and seeing if there's bits stuck. If you have this...

Or pull the hose from the bottom of the drum to the pump.

I did this not so long ago, found 2 baby socks stuck in there, along with 3x £1 coins.

Annoyingly I cannot seem to do this without a minor flood of rank grey water spilling under the washing machine. Every time.

Wet vac

Or roasting tray

I have towels and trays and stuff, it always seems to escape.

Don’t trust the water collection tray, it always goes behind and under the washing machine.
Baking tray with a lip with a roasting tray on it, plus lots of towels.

I’m looking to take out a built in wardrobe with traditional doors and open up the space for sliding doors.
For repairing the walls, I guess I will need to cut the plasterboard back to the appropriate studs, possibly build up new corner studs?

Or a wet vac. Seriously - just my cheap Triton shop vac manages to capture all water with no spillage.
Literally only last performed this operation on Saturday preceding the sale of the offending machine.

I need to buy a vac just to deal with this issue?
Also, I've never had a washing machine that was like this before - clearly the water gets stuck there and gets all manky and slimy, like a cul-de-sac for bacteria. It just seems like rubbish design. -

I realised far too late in my life that the grey hose is for that.
-
• #28795
lol. did you think it was just ornamental?!
-
• #28796
that looks good. unlike most people here, I just don't like buying more kit, but I can see it would be useful.

Does anyone here have an (aged) copper backsplash ? Would you do it again ?
-
• #28798
Thank for that. I haven’t heard any complaints about missing bras in the house, ans I do regularly clean out the filter. Will have a look, to make sure there’s nothing stuck there.

I just can’t imagine the kind of threaded fitting you’d need. Equally, these kinds of walls are quit common, so there must be something!

Wet vac for £10 more? I had been looking at these for another job.
Not installed by us. Obvs.
