  • I had my first dose on Wednesday. Waking yesterday I felt ok but a mild headache develop during the day and generally I felt rubbish. A couple of doses of paracetamol and an early night and all that’s left this morning is a slightly sore arm.
I had a few more questions asked as I had an anaphylactic shock following a wasp sting a while ago and now carry an epipen but the whole process was super smooth and super efficient.

  • Follow up on mum, she is all good again!

  • Had my first AZ jab yesterday teatime; felt a bit hayfevery in the evening, but fine this morning, other than a bit of soreness at the injection site.

  • had my first AZ jab on Friday morning. again, little tenderness at the injection site but nothing else.

  • sweet. let us know if your blood turns into gazpacho.

  • had my first AZ jab yesterday 2pm, I'm <30 and there wasn't much info on symptoms in young ppl
no underlying health conditions nor evidence I ever had it, I get tested regularly

    2pm-10pm I felt absolutely normal
10pm-2am sudden onset terrible cold fever, shivering uncontrollably in bed even with the heating on and inside a winter sleeping bag under my duvet, at one point could barely move
2am-6am less terrible hot fever, crazy headache, couldn't sit still, a bit odd
8am-present pounding headache and lethargy mostly abetted by 500mg paracetamol every 5hrs

don't want to dissuade anyone from having the jab, obviously it's a great thing. just wanted to share some more info on the side effects of AZ as there is some evidence it's worse in younger ppl

  • Second Pfizer vaccine was on Monday. Same as first time. Dead arm. Feel fine other than that.

  • Had mine last week, AZ as well. 33 with no underlying health conditions (got it because of my wife’s condition). I didn’t feel any side-effects, arm was sore for a day but not enough to really bother me. Lovely volunteer retired doctor gave us the shots at the centre at Neasden temple. Celebrated afterwards with some nice food from the restaurant there ;)

  • Had my first AZ jab today, a smooth process in an out in 10 mins. A bit of a sore arm and did feel a little odd for a couple of hours today but now nothing really. I went to work straight after the jab rode home tonight and all is well.

Many thanks to all those who make this happen.

  • Looks like they're starting on the under 50s soon. Booked in for 11th April for Stab#1.

  • May as well add to the anecdata: early 40s, AZ 1st jab last Thursday. Ok that day, minor headache in the evening, sore arm and had to have an afternoon nap the next day. Sore arm continued for THREE DAYS. No significant illness-like symptoms.

Almost a carbon copy of my symptoms after having my first AZ jab yesterday afternoon. I’m 51.

I actually rang 111 as I thought I was having some kind of seizure, the shaking was so bad. The nurse I spoke to told me to take paracetamol and just put light clothing on as I had put several thick layers on. After about 30 minutes the paracetamol brought the shaking under control, which was a massive relief. It’s 5 pm now and I no longer have a temperature. This was nothing like having flu, much more violent.

My advice to anyone having the AZ jab is to have paracetamol and a thermometer to hand. And drink plenty of water.

  • Had AZ on Saturday. Was all set to be knocked out for the whole of Sunday based on everything I've heard from friends, online, etc, but had literally no side effects whatsoever - not even a sore arm.

  • Just had the Sinopharm vaccine. Had to sign a document saying that I wasn't allergic to any of the ingredients but when I asked to see a list of ingredients they said no. Efficient but crowded process at the hospital. Camera crew here to film all the foreigners getting the vaccine. Interested to see if I have any side effects, I've been told not to eat spicy food or any food that I'm allergic to...

  • had mine at stratford westfield yesterday
    oxford az dose

no side effects just a feeling of a slight bruise where it went in, well that and the compelling urge to feast on human flesh

    Wow

  • the compelling urge to feast on human flesh

I don't think it's considered a side effect if it's there all the time

  • They weren't keen to even tell me which vaccine it was, but I got chatting to the nurse and she thought it was funny that everyone in my family has had different ones, so she let me take pictures of the packaging.
I had a slightly sore arm for a day or two but nothing else, and even the soreness wasn't bad, rabies vaccine was much worse.

Yeah more or less the same for me. Fun night that!

  • My Mum and Dae have just had their 2nd Pfizer jabs. No side effects at all with the first one, hoping it will be the same for the second.

Big sigh of relief from me, means I'll be able to offer some support to my Dad soon.

  • Interesting press conference just now about the AZ jab and bloodclots. Being withdrawn for the under 30s.
Not going to quiet down the anti-vaxxers...

  • It’s such a rubbish article! From what they can prove, 11 hospitalisations amongst 2.9 million vaccinated people, and they can’t even be sure the infections didn’t originate before they had both doses - this in a state that has 700,000 active covid cases. The headline should read “vaccination a massive success, better than trial data”...

  • Had the AZ jab this morning. Felt it go in and straight afterwards I had pin prick feelings all over, mainly arm and both legs. Have felt a bit tired since, slightly 'weird' feeling (like almost a bit dazed/confused). Bit of a headache now developing and still feel tired

  • That's just the 5G signal getting established.
