MGOOF : Modern groupset on old frame

Does anyone have good recommendations for a classically curved, 25.4 or 26mm clamp dia black drop bar, that would take new 105 brifters well? I have been looking at the Modolo Venus, but the angularity of it is putting me off.

Some suggestions for a more modern shape in here although they may not be what you’re looking for if you want a classic curve.

Here’s the Modolo Venus in 26.0. The bars are really comfy and don’t look too weird once the shifters are on and the bars are taped up.

New wheelset for the Rondinella. Not the lightest but they look good IMHO

Ah, On the shifters you mean?-is that why the gap between the brake lever and shifter paddle? Pos. a silly question, but how do I fix that?

Push the top silver rivet till it pokes out the other side, I never knew it was there until someone had shown me

Yep.

Mind, your brake pads will move closer to the rims after closing the quick releases (the opposite effect being the point of the qr mechanism), so you might have to readjust your brakes if you set them up with the qr open initially.

Ok, will sort it out tomorrow. Had no idea it was there, but did wonder why the levers showed that gap!

I know I've asked this before but what can I do about this? Does it result from the fact that the crown race is not wide enough or is there a seal missing?

I think it should have a seal between the bearings and the race but I may be wrong.
