Finished one of my lockdown projects, which Ive been working on for the last 8 months - New GF bike. Started life as a genesis borough bridge, I ended up replacing everything exceptr the handbars, seatpost clamp & rear rack (even the forks, new ones are from a Masi Rando).
I had a load of bits hanging about from my old bike, but still took me a while to get the rest togther, my fav highlights include:- New forks with panto'd flat crowns
- Freshly powdercoated Shimano Deore FC-MT60 cranks ( AKA god tier square taper cranks.)
- Super tidy dynamo routing
- The eyelets I got added to the split TT renforcements becuase I noticed they're exactly the same size as a bottle cage.
She seems pleased, which is great, becuase I really am - its actually a delight to ride.

That’s a beaut, must be a bit of a relief that she’s pleased as well : )

Thanks, @SideshowBob. The frame was high on my wanted list and a couple of weeks ago, I got this one as a gift from someone on the RB-forum. It's a 1991 frame so this bike fits my 30 th anniversary collection (I'm older but I started biking 30 years ago ;-)).

Waste of time talking with you as you're set in your ways. Lower pressures result in lower rolling resistance and greater comfort = faster. Learn it.
-
• #128547
Yes I was running those pressures 15-20 years ago. Probably before you were born, too.

Check my user name, I’m pretty old as far as this forum is concerned.

Lower pressures result in lower rolling resistance and greater comfort
Up to a point, m'lud. In fact, lower pressure increases hysteresis loss in the tyre carcase, but may reduce suspension losses by more if the reference pressure was excessive. Any decision about tyre pressure is a compromise between these opposing factors, and the optimum solution will depend on the terrain.
noice - just did 170K (with 2500m vertical) on this bad boy which has just had a service (does that qualify it for CP?) love this bike
