Should have offered a full solid gold brushed, riveted bracelet on the 18K model. Would look killer.

Ah, makes sense. Sorry missed this post, hence my last comment.

True but not really Tudor pricing audience wise.

I do like the contrast on the new 36mm though, really interested in seeing that!

Can’t believe they would want to sell watches when they could make awesome watches that 28 year olds can’t afford. Sure, you might lose all your customers to Longines but at least you’ve made a sick solid gold 39mm dive watch.

Haaa. Bring on the blued steel hands!
Im really hoping this looks good in the AD as this could cover so many options that I could never really afford or feel safe wearing more regularly. The Explorer / Oyster Perpetual crossover.

Yeah that one seems like it could go either way IRL but looks good in that

Thought the markers had a black surround on the 36mm, looking more Explorer-esk, not the case in this photo. Looses some impact for me and would be a nice modern twist. Chrono looks good here.

Top three so far for me
- Tudor chrono
- Iwc big mark/small pilot
- Breitling salmon
In the attainable realm that is, because all offerings from vacheron are amazing
- Tudor chrono

G Shock collab with Royal Navy, analogue Frogman.
I like it but I don't think i'll be spunking £800 on another G Shock any time soon
(This almost guarantees I'll be buying a spendy G before next pay day...) -

I could almost forgive the square hand on the Tudor Chrono if it wasn't still 14.4mm thick (Daytona is 12.2 for reference).
I guess it depends how it wears but that's still a hefty thickness. Also - riveted bracelets can >>>>>>>>.

Ha!
What's a "seat post"
Wait is LFGSS a cycling forum? -

Also been idly looking at the various GWF Frogman models recently (tho the digital ones are more my thing) but at 53mm+ I think you need wrists like ChainBreaker or PawG to handle it.

My wife and I had a daughter last week and I figure it’s the time to splash out on a Speedmaster Moonwatch as have wanted one for about 10years and will never have money again.
What’s the Forum approved method of buying? Are there any recommendations on getting a good price or is it best to go for a second hand one? If so, are places like watch finder any good in ensuring it isn’t a fake :-/

Watchfinder will be legit watches but not the cheapest place to buy. Everywhere else it's buyer beware time and if you want vintage, make sure you know exactly what you want and what's right and not right on it.
My suggestion would be as JB says, tap ejay up and see what he can do for you, since nearly-new prices are rather punchy right now with the recent model changeover, and people seem to be thinking that people value the old 1861 more and the new 3861 more simultaneously.
I bought my Speedmaster from ejay, as did a number of others here, and can highly recommend him.
(Oh and congrats by the way!)

There isnt a good copy of the speedmaster. So you are safe in that regard. All my transactions through chrono24 were good. Dont know how the situation is in the UK with taxes now though..
A couple of videos of that white dial tudor though and i might have mine up for sale :)

Whilst all that new Rolex and tudor stuff going on had a chilly walk around Richmond park it was beautiful

Congrats @Manson7am, You can never go wrong with a Speedmaster... My advice would be to join the Omega Forum (https://omegaforums.net) where there is a huge amount of info, and generally some very nice watches for sale, from other enthusiasts, or professional sellers..
Of course @ejay2.0 should also be your 1st port of call for I think new/newer Speedies.
Chrono24 always seems to be at the very expensive end of things...
Good luck with your search

You are probably the least stereotypical Rolex owner in the world haha (and that's a good thing)

Thanks for the shout out all .
I try to do my best , and am already on the case.
Funny how this forum has changed.
It used to be all "can I get a seat post in Brick Lane Bikes for £10"
