• I want to build a pair of new wheels for one of my fixed gears and looking for some deeper carbon rims, 40-60mm, 36h, can someone recommend some rims?

  • Some 36H you're going to have to go with custom drilling from the likes of Light Bicycle.

I've been considering this for 40H rims for the tandem

  • Do you already have a hub you want to use? 36 is a lot of spokes

  • Yes, i have a pair of old phil wood hubs that i wanna use, thats why i asked about 36h...

  • Does anyone here have a lead on where to find a replica of a Whisky #7 fork? The branded item is ferociously priced at £450.

  • Concise! Thank you

  • I bought a Stone chain ring because literally nobody else makes 144 BCD with narrow-wide teeth, and so far I'm pretty happy with it. The quality of the machining is excellent. The only thing is that the typography leaves a bit to be desired.

  • loath to spend

FTFY. Common error, learn it now 😉

  • Anyone have any experience with the rotor/Cannondale crankset clones on AliX? Like this or this. Looks to get a 165mm crankset, but even the R7000 are out of my range at the moment.

  • Missed this!

They sound good, have you tried out on the bike yet?

  • Anyone have those silly CNC brake levers? Are they junk?

Anyone have those silly CNC brake levers to sell? :)

  • depends what you want to use them for, I think they are all long pull

  • Fixie front brake

  • so you need short pull

  • Probably. Is there one of those somewhere?

  • Have been trusting one of these with my life on the skidder. Only issue was having to swap out the plastic barrel adjuster for an aluminium one. Oh and popped a longer lever adjustment bolt on because the jump me they provide was on the short side.

Mine came with a matching mini-v so fine for short pull brakes, maybe depends on what you're ordering it with 🤷🏽‍♂️
I need another one now actually as I'm going SS soon.

Worth pointing out that the other lever from the pair was ever so slightly dinged/kinked. Absolutely not useable, one pull of the lever and it all wanted to collapse, so I guess keep an eye on them.

  • Bonus shrink wrap and foam for trigger finger

  • I used them before, they look cool but are extremely weak. Everyday use will destroy these because they are made to be as light as possible. Note the tiny exposed spring + adjustment screw. That being said mine lasted (with a few dodgy repairs) over a year until my handlebars got stolen...

  • I'd like to swap out for some Black Ops Research levers but eBay prices are kray

  • Seeing that makes me a little terrified. I think I'll find something else lol

  • Yeah, not a fit and forget. I'll never forget pulling the other lever and just seeing all the little aluminium struts slowly crease.
I must say though, this lonesome lever has performed very well, especially recently, I'm commuting through Crystal Palace and it's held up for something like 3 years now, also been on the Dun run and a few LDN to Bristol rides.

  • Hope you're not turning your nose up at my magnificent bodge, the lever was getting cold 😅😬

  • The whole thing just looks sketchy as hell haha
The edges have burrs, it looks fragile. That's what I'd expect for the price I suppose but for my only brake, it's probably wise to sacrifice a few extra grams
