• In theory no, but you'd have to make sure it was properly cleaned before you cooked with it again plus you'd ideally want a fire pit to be lower to the ground. Tbh you can pick up a fire pit pretty cheap I think mine was about 25 quid.

  • Height is a good point.

    It wasn't just for money, space as well, but there is no way I want to be cleaning it in between uses.

  • The space saving would be good but the rest of the hassle would definitely piss you off more over time. You can get some with foldable legs that store pretty neatly.
