Freecycle: Ernie Clements Falcon project 60s/70s

  • So, I'm finally conceding that I'm never going to get around to this. I always wanted a Clements Falcon hence holding onto this frame (bought as a full bike but parts not very interesting as I remember) for years. I've always known it was too small for me...perhaps you can give it the care and attention (I think, at least) it deserves? All the classic 60s/70s Falcon features in place: tapered pencil stays, wrap over seat tube, nice geo and fork crown, Nervex lugs and handsome enamel (not foil) badge. It's obviously not had a great repsray but its not crude brush-on - you can see where I've started to scrap back to the blue / contrast red colour scheme underneath that is also classic Falcon of this era - but it needs stripping and starting again I'd say. Also, some rust that needs treating/assessing but it looks ok to me...condition is 'barn' but no dents / all looks straight etc. I haven't got the tools to remove the BB so don't know if that'll resist. It has downtube pump bosses so more likely a touring model. It's not a top level San Remo for sure but its a decent frame and would make a nice bike if you can do the work, and its free. It's in Dalston, happy if you want to come take a look / ask me for more photos. I've uploaded a batch here: https://imgur.com/a/NBgFrtU

    Measurements:
    Seat tube: 55cm ctc
    Top tube: 56 ctc

    Questions, just ask. Cheers.
