Can confirm that getting an adult between two isofix car seats in the back of Qashqai is not really feasible. Have managed it but only with small adult, and even then they're sort of wedged in at an angle and can't do up a seatbelt. Not recommended.
I'm still looking at Skoda Kodiaqs. Any reason I should look elsewhere for 2019, low mileage, 7 seats, 4WD, petrol and decent gadget spec for under £25k? https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202103190324837?drivetrain=Four%20Wheel%20Drive&model=KODIAQ&advertising-location=at_cars&onesearchad=New&onesearchad=Nearly%20New&onesearchad=Used&postcode=me138sd&fuel-type=Petrol&radius=60&minimum-seats=7&sort=relevance&price-to=25000&make=SKODA&year-from=2018&include-delivery-option=on&page=1
I would check out whatever the seat equivalent is - shared platforms (with VW too) and better driving/toys.
Edit: we have that exact engine (and probably gearbox) in our Leon and it’s excellent.
