You know you will regret it so why not hide it in the attic/shed for another year? A Christmas present to yourself? Don’t you want to have all three ‘matching’ frames at the same time?
-
• #7
Well, this was always the plan... and it's paying for shiny stuff!

price drop to £315

Amazing classy frame, and sad you're selling it, but it's for a good cause! -

-
• #16
Hey man, long time no see on here.
If you're serious then drop us a pm, the road bike will actually be for sale in a few months (once I get my grubby mits on the replacement). Both these Roberts frames made such wonderful bikes I feel completely mad selling them!
But needs must... -
• #17
Whilst this up, can I politely suggest that you rethink your choice of similes?
There are less offensive ways of saying the same thing. -
• #18
Bit tasteless!

This is exactly the kind of thing I'll regret selling.
Roberts Track Frame, 1985
Number: 85115
Not sure of the tubing - I have a feeling it's Columbus SLX but can't find the email chain from Roberts to confirm.
Resprayed dark metallic burgundy by Mario Vaz in 2013
53 x 53cm centre to centre
100mm front spacing, 120mm rear.
27.2 seat post.
1" threaded fork with flat crown and round track-style blades (crown race now removed)
Campagnolo dropouts.
Cinelli bottom bracket shell.
British threads throughout.
Nice close-clearance track geometry.
Drilled for a front brake but not rear.
Mainly used at Herne Hill as opposed to London streets, it's been sat inside doing nothing for the last couple of years.
There are a few chips in the paint - notably on the headtube where I installed an ergostem badly, and on the drive side seat stay.
Other than that it's all good - straight and true, no dents, good threads, no rust issues etc.
Pick up from Hither Green / Catford, SE6
No postage for now.
I'm after £325 >£315>£300
