  • The circlip in my kit (not minimod, and I've yet to fit it) is thinner that the standard one. Whichever way you do it, you've got to get properly medieval on the circlip's donkey with a large screwdriver for leverage. FYI in the interest of doing this job, I have acquired a large number of broad ranging types of circlip pliers. None of which are up to the job. BFO screwdriver is king.

  • It's not a case of it being difficult, it literally doesn't fit between the cog and the groove in the cassette hub. Either the circlip or the cogs and/or spacer are too thick.

I measured the spacer and it's 2mm just as the minimod is spec'd.

I guess it must be the circlip, but where do I get a thin one?
