Issues are mainly seen with those riders running shoes, shoeless or “huf naturelle” as rené calls it, is the future.

If Horsey McHorseyFace is riding it then:
- They own the land. "Get orfa my land".
- They have special permission from the landowner to ride on it.
- It's a bridleway, BOAT or Restricted Byway in which case they can fuck the fuck off.
- They shouldn't be on it either, in which case they can also fuck the fuck off.
- They own the land. "Get orfa my land".

Hate to bring down the tone of the thread but looking for peoples opinions. I have a few pals looking for bikes (gravel/all road-ish vibes) before the summer. They’re all looking in the £1200-2000 range and obviously they are having a pretty hard time finding ANYTHING in stock.
Ribble has CGR al and some sl in stock.

I’m on the hunt for a carbon frame and fork, thru axle, flat mount will allow up to 38 clearance. Basically for road but can manage bridal paths and gravel. Is that what one calls an ‘All road’?
Budget is £600 - is that possible? I’ve looked around but can’t find owt for that price. -

Not carbon but Trek Checkpoint ALR is excellent
-
• #18136
I’ve had my eye on it, but out of budget
-

its worth stretching budget for, the carbon you will get will be Carbonda and I doubt you can get it £600-ish, they are pricey plus brexit.
Trek has done a phenomenal job with its design.

Definitely worth considering, last question; it’s press-fit BB, I think. Is that going to give me a headache?
-
• #18139
Not with a Hope BB (and 24mm axle)
-
• #18140
Okay. Well that’s all useful stuff, thanks.
Not sure length of axle, I’ll check - but this could be the one.

excrete without any attempt to clean up?
Tbf this goes for anything with a combustion engine.

That’s a gorgeous colour, what paint/system did you use?
-
• #18145
Just spray cans. Primer, a couple of cans of colour and a clear gloss, all by Montana

Is the seat post the original Canyon / Ergon, or an Aliexpress copy? (I am thinking buying the latter)
-
• #18147
The latter. I’ve got 2 and had a couple others in the past. They work well
-
• #18148
Cheers, got a link maybe? Fav'ed a few, but most are unavailable by now.
-
• #18149
This one was from 2 years ago and the link isn’t live any more sorry. I imagine they’re all from the same place however

I usually politely say that I've been riding that track for 20+ years and that they're the first person to ever object. Sometimes this is actually true
If I can be bothered I ask what actual harm they believe I'm doing by pootling along a track that's clearly covered in hoofprints, so is a bridlepath in all but name
