WANTED - Lightweight quill stem (sub 250 grams - 100/110/120mm, -17, -20°, 26mm Hbars , 22.2 steerer)

Hi, I'm looking for a cheap (less that £30) lightweight quill stem to fit on a vintage "weight weenie" Peugeot Perthus project.
The lighter the better, titanium stems like the Cinelli Grammo, ITM Krystal, 3T Pro, Titec, Titan Acor, Ibis, Litespeed... usually weigh from 188-220 grams

The lightest alloy stem that I have identified is the ControlTech Road stem at 234 grams for 120mm.

Maybe there are others that weigh less but another consideration is the girth, the Peugeot's 753 top tube is about an inch - 26mm in diameter, stems thicker than that don't suit the bike.

I don't want to pay silly Ebay prices and I'm not bothered about how good the stickers/logos/graphics look, I'll polish them away if they look rough.

The stem I desire the most is the ITM Krystal in 110mm

There should be plenty of them around.

The Ibis stem was probably one of the best looking. Were they popular in Europe?

I'm glad that aerodynamics are making stems look clean and simple again on modern bikes.

I’ve a control tech but obviously not as nice as in the photo and miles [well 2 cm’s] too long at 140 but yes plenty of crystals around

My current stem is 100mm, I have my seatpost back to front to improve reach (I have long legs and a short torso) but I'm going to fit some 3T Primo 199 bars which reduce the reach compared to my current Cinelli Campione del mondo bars.
With the 3T bars I can fit up to a 120mm stem without stretching too far forwards 130+ is too long.
Do you see many -17° Controltech road stems for sale these days?

There is very little description, I'm guessing it's a vintage Kalloy Uno which might fit the desired category, can anyone ID this stem more accurately?

Edit: It's a stem produced by HL Corp (Zoom) - the design was modified to use cro-mo steel for Trek system 2 stems. The seller says it weighs about 250 grams.

If the description of 153 grams for a 130mm titanium Look THT quill stem is true then that makes it the lightest quill stem ever produced.

I had never heard of Ballistic stems, this 100mm Ti stem of theirs only weighs 152 grams !!!
Makes you wonder how light they can be with today's technology.

I had (sold some time ago) a 120mm ITM Krystal to which I fitted a PMP Ti draw bolt. The stem weighed 184g on my scale. The Krystal I found pretty flexible. I preferred the 3t Pro Chrome, although I never weighed that.

A quick google suggests Ti cycles offer a Ti draw bolt in M8. Other stems worth looking for although they may not appeal are WR Compositi and Syntace

The stem tube of the Krystal does seem quite dainty compared to the Grammo, that's why I like the look of it.
I mostly ride my Peugeot with a 105mm Cinelli XA stem and a Scott Foil with a Vision Metron 5D combo bar and stem, I wonder how the Krystal would compare with 80s and 20teenies tech.
I already have the Ti-classics draw bolt, it saves 15-20 grams.
Funny you should mention the WR Compositi stem, I just came across it a few moments ago, that would actually look perfect on my build, it's going to be matte carbon, gloss black and shiny metal.

It's going to be a challenge to locate and afford one of these quill stems. I'm curious to know how much they weigh, should be in Ti-quill territory.

Their ahead stems are more available but they are too heavy for my build at 150 grams (120mm). I am considering the quill adapter route but to match those titanium quill stems' weight, I need a stem that weighs below 100 grams. Most good looking clamp on stems are are >140 grams . The lighter ones have less attractive bolts and lumps everywhere.

I suspect this Dean titanium stem might also have been a bit flexi, it weighs just 158 grams for a 110mm stem

I wonder how much a 3T Pro-Ti stem would cost before mark-up and after.

I thought that WR Compositi quill stems were impossible to find and then one appears in the UK, in my size and I can 't afford it!
