• On the three seats thing was admiring a pile of old Fiat Multiplas some bloke has in his yard in a village near here. Amazing to see the three adult seats up front. Rare to see one on the road these days.

And nice first motor @Tenderloin. Proper grown up stuff

  • I think time for Multiplas to be reappraised. I could never quite understand the hatred for them.

  • Because they're odd, ugly, and functional.

That said, one of my petrolhead teachers always cited it as an eg of how the Italians could get away with style and design choices no one else could.

(this was before all those butt ugly 00's BMWs)

  • really enjoyed having a close look at the neglected collection I happened across the other day. so many neat design touches and overall futuristic look.

i have no need for one but would happily own the pre mid 2000s facelift one if I needed to carry more humans about. think they are going to be hard to find in good nick these days.

  • Meant they became cheap quick and when things went wrong it was cheaper to buy a better one than repair the old one. Those that had them liked them as they were very well thought out.

Always liked this photo showing how much room was in the car
