  • I believe the production costs of going for various colours and sizes in the WiFi vs only one colour one size in the Classic is part of the reason for the difference, plus the frame details on the WiFi are impressive, things like the curved seatstay bridge look very nice.

Considering the price of literally everything in the bike world has gone up this year, Omnium's idea of bringing out the 'Classic' option to keep costs down is pretty smart.

Comparably LvsH have increased their prices across the board by 10%, as have a lot of brands, the Classic is essentially the same pricing as their bikes used to be whereas the WiFi models are more expensive but have added value.

I might be wrong but I do think it's a justifiable price difference. If you want some Omnium parts drop me a message, we order from them pretty regularly and you can buy wheelsets and racks separately.

  • This.
Some folk want the extra tyre width potential and a number of other things the wifi brings, the rest are quite happy with a regular classic bike.

Would suggest getting a whole bike or a frame kit + parts in a one go, unless you already have everything you need in a box.
Things like headsets, bb, shifters, rear mechs, chainsets are just extremely hard to get, especially in UK, so don't assume you'll just pick these items up from an LBS or a national retailer.
I've just ordered 60 chain sets from a shop in Germany as there are zero available any other reasonable method.
