Nice work 🙌

Any suggestions on how to hold my UPVC back door open. It opens outwards and there's a step so nothing attached to the floor will work I don't think.

Thanks. No need for window film, there's no overlooking windows. And always like a bit of exposure anyway.

Yes, that is a bike bell - essential safety feature to warn of imminent cuts

Hmm, might have to get a circular saw...

Slightly worrying prospect that it might Pavlov you into covering your ears rather than moving when a cyclist approaches.
Although probably more convenient than shouting
“NOISE!” -

I would love to, though I will probably bodge it so that I can get it on the BBQ for the Easter weekend!

made me think of this

Cheers. Bungee is an option but I'd prefer something neater.

I tried with a jigsaw and an aluminium specific blade.
Awful.Went to screwfix to buy a cheap Evolution 165mm circular saw with multi material blade for £50.
Went through the aluminium like butter, very neat finish, didn't need any real filing at all. -

It's a slippery slope.

Can't you just stick a small length of timber batten between the jamb/stop and the face of the door that the hinge plates are screwed to?

I’m already eyeing up extra Dewalt XR power tools I have no need for.

Yep, I have a cheap evolution saw with a multi blade on just for cutting box profile roofing, always impressed how well it works. Keep the nice Makita for wood.

That's what I'm doing at the moment (with a roll of kitchen roll) but with small fingers around I'd prefer something a bit better.

Plz explain what this is and what it does.

They are Grillgrates which are aftermarket anodised aluminium grates for your BBQ.
Not cheap, but my current ones are rusted to the point of being unusuable, and the replacement grates would be £75 anyway, and not currently in stock.
The grill grates seem to be very well reviewed and won’t ever rust.

Plz explain what this is and what it does.
It chars mammal flesh.

I have a leak, in two places underneath a newly installed sink.
Obviously I'll get the plumber back in, but in the meantime, should I tighten or loosen any of these parts?
Leaks are at the two red arrows.

Looks great! Going to install some frosted film or are you into a bit of exposure?
