Just splashed for a Genesis carbon adventure fork for the Croix De Fer and realising that I now need a new hub dyno and a brake set that is flat mount..... and nothing is available in the fecking plague island!

You can use an adapter for the brake, if that helps

Yes, that helps. I can fit a post mount brake to flat mount fork?
-
• #18081
Yeah, Clarks and TRP do them, amongst others I’m sure. You have to use a carrier for front flat mount brakes anyway for some reason. I’m pretty sure I bought a Clarks one and I had some issues with the head size of normal Allen bolts so I ended up drilling it out a bit

Great, had a look and I think that means I can use the fork without having to buy new brakes, thanks bud.

Perfect, thanks!

If you struggle to find one of these in 160mm front, I have a brand new one kicking around you could have for postage - hit me up if so!

I might convert my bike to electric now

Shimano make the adaptor as well. Spa cycles had the best prices a few weeks ago.

Looks like the fluorescent red hire bikes that are kicking around London!

I'd rather get horses banned. Shit and mud everywhere

And little kids.

It's time to ban Arkoses from the British countryside

Why don’t horse riders have to pick up the horse’s shit? I think it’s scandalous.
Also, why are horses ridden so slowly. It looks boring as hell.
(Are you the horse guy? Can I @ you?)

Hate to bring down the tone of the thread but looking for peoples opinions. I have a few pals looking for bikes (gravel/all road-ish vibes) before the summer. They’re all looking in the £1200-2000 range and obviously they are having a pretty hard time finding ANYTHING in stock. I was on planet x’s website today picking up some bars for my cannondale summer cruiser and seen that they have a line of On-one, Planet X and Titus Gravel bikes. Has anyone any experience with these? I’ve always been wary of Planet X as they seem suspiciously good value. But here they are in the middle of a bike and component shortage seemingly with stock of frames and rival/force 1x group sets. What are we thinking? Good to recommend to a friend?

Had a PX road bike, it was good value.

Because they're dangerous as hell and most people are just on them very much occasionally.

Then what is point? The whole thing needs reviewing.

Oh, I'd be up for both! But then again, pretty sure someone in a horse riding or dog walking forum is making a strong case about "too fast" "disrespectful" "dangerous" cyclists that should be banned from bridleways and especially from FOOT ONLY TRAILS (aka footpaths)
honestly a dream bike
