It's not a CAD3 (to me CAD3 and CAAD3 mean the same but I may be wrong) but a 2.8 frame, which was available up until 1996.
It's probably an honest mistake but the guy has put so much effort to have it resprayed and built, he should at least have known better and put the correct decal set...
