  • @Matisse you did! I recognised you/the bike from the fcp insta. Bike looks sick. I could use some mudguards

  • My mate just Bought a retro Peugeot mtb comes with LX groupset but man is it heavy. But I love the 90s colour scheme.

  • Got some beat up kooka cranks and some tech lite levers for cheap for my Yeti.

  • Ooof!

Used to lust after the Kooka stuff as a translucent preteen, especially the mental splatter-ano bits.

  • Me too! I see some of that stuff over here in Germany but way too expensive for me. I’d really like to find one of the original bullseye cranks that yeti spec’d.
Put some parts on a Marin today too, nothing retro except for the seat and Amp fork. Shame it’s too small but interesting design.

  • Not strictly retro.. but my half-hearted lockdown project is rideable for the first time. Chain needs to be longer and the rear canti is decorative rather than functional.

  • The frame is retro, isn't it. Nice build.

  • Feel like the older cannondales don’t get as much love, they’re some real nice bikes!

  • My contribution: a comfy cruiser for my fiancée. Picked the frame up in basically NOS condition over in Toronto, and have gradually been adapting it to work with her dodgy joints. I tried to convince her to go 1x9 but she likes the triple. Headset is 1 1/8 threaded, so used a BBB steerer extender to make an ahead stem look half decent. VO Klunker bars are awesome too.

  • Going 1×9 would be lighter but using triple does everything right ? Hills and fast on the flats. Going 1×9 Is all new to me

  • Lighter as in 200 g on a bike that probably weighs 14 kg? 😁

  • 14kg is a lot .I think 200g lighter will help a but.

  • Absolutely love this

  • Bars look like Stooge Moto’s. Similar to Surly Sunrise bars as well

  • Didn’t really know where to put this! Spotted in local gumtree. My first instinct was that I wanted it, then common sense took over :-D

  • What the actual?

  • Dunno man that Cadbury’s fingers wheel disc though.....

  • I know right? Could whack it on the Giant

  • that would look great...

Found an old Bridgestone near by in need of saving...https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/949824462455469/

But i've actually seen a '92 cannondale m600, the French tricolore release, on ebay. umming and ahhing about trying to grab it and replacing the Giant.

  • Am currently the proud owner of this 80's Mercian. Trying to decide what (if anything) I should do with it here

  • Tempted to grab the Bridgestone if you’re not planning to!

Edit: it’s still available so I reckon I’ll grab it. Then if you did want it, you can buy it off me for £9.50 :-)

  • That's a pile of shit, I'll take it off your hands.

  • Amazing bike!!! The RetroBike MTB forum would love to see this!

  • Go for it bud, I don’t have time for that level of project right now.
