In any case, presumably these communications are coming via your solicitor, so they should be able to advise you.

yes and thanks guys... I've asked my solictor for her opinion. so ghosting probably can't happen
they reckon £300 for a man and a van which is spendy for my mind
I'm tempted to offer to pay some towards it but as said they are dicks and I'm sure to be back to call them that some more

Could you offer to come and collect it? I can’t actually see what they could do that wouldn’t cost them as much as they’d stand to get back off you. How much stuff was it? A car load? Van load?

I live the other side of the country now... I'd say it's a van at most.

I'm not sure how effective ghosting is as my solicitor has my address so they surely have a way to find us and then they will be making a small claim and charging storage
