Forward and back slash being on the same row on opposite ends of the keyboard makes more sense to me.
Also I use the £ sign all the time, so UK layout keyboard all the way. -

Why not switch the keyboard layout on the PC side?
As in modify the UK keyboard on my laptop?
That throws up the same problems as doing it on the K3. Also it's not my laptop and fucking up a laptop is a much bigger hassle and cost than a keyboard.

No sorry that was poorly phrased, I meant in the language/input settings. (But laptop keys actually are normally very easy to switch around)

How do you find the height of the K4? And do you use a wrist rest?
Oh and with the RGB lighting is it possible to put it into some sort of grown-up / non-gamer mode?
Cheers -

Have you bought polyte quick dry towels for work?
-
• #383
Not yet mate but thanks for the reminder, much prefer work showers!
-
• #384
Yes i bought the metal frame full RGB version however you can configure it however you like, i let my girlfriend use this one and she uses with fine without a wristrest and only runs it with a dim white backlight.

^Is there a way to dye/colour keys?
-
• #391
I didn't dye them myself, bought a secondhand keyboard which had them on.
Prefer GMK ;) -

Bought one on Amazon, apparently at a reduced price of £60... Good reviews despite apparently coming in different color than photo, which I didn't mind, but the layout and design were annoyingly also different... More importantly quality was utter shit! So plastic-y, super click-y / noisy (not in the nice way)... I guess this was my first rookie mistake for buying this new rather than eBay second hand as you suggested... The one I received (and have already returned) was no longer one made in Germany which presumably were superior?
I'll keep looking... -

Got them! thanks mate, think i'll put them on my ducky mini because im just running a cheap white set on that anyway haha

Got a royal kludge rk84, which seems to tick all my boxes
Hot swappable
2.4ghz wireless option
Tkl layoutHave some gazzew boba U4T Thocky switches ordered along with some materials to mod and lube the stabilisers so hopefully can get this sounding nice. First time modding a board so hopefully I don't mess it up
Need to find some caps I like - I like the look of SA profile caps but can't find a colour scheme I like yet.

In the meantime I have lubed and snipped the stabilisers, did the 'Band aid mod' to the pcb and put some foam between the pcb and case to reduce echo/ping
Even with the unlubed gateron browns and cheap keycaps, this keyboard is sounding and feeling really nice to type on.

Bit grossed out by the idea of sharing keyboards now more people are going back into the office & we're semi-hotdesking, so got myself a new keyboard for leaving at work:
Feels a bit cheaper to type on than the Filco above but still pretty good, especially for the price.

Definitely want to consider swapping out the ABS keycaps for PBT. Makes the world of difference on Keychron keyboards.

Is that the K4 in UK layout? If so can I ask a couple of questions?
- How are you finding it going from a full size?
- Did you buy it direct? If you are UK did you have to pay any extras on import?
Thanks!

Why not switch the keyboard layout on the PC side? Then it will match your keyboard layout.
ANSI layout is better IMO
