Assuming that'd be an endurance race, your body would take the biggest toll probably

weight weenie
The Cursed Exploro is like 9.5kg somehow. I might put it on a diet, stick some skinnier rubber on and then just put up with how slow I am as being no fault of the bike's

It'll be lighter when the seatpost falls out

Impossible. There's enough electrical tape on it to patch the titanic

A mate tried it but didn't work. But also someone else did have it work. So depends on bike I reckon.

I was joking but the thought did cross my mind when wondering how much my missus could ride on 25mm road tyres. She just walks bits and I thought "Hey I walked stuff in Badlands, I could just walk a bit more stuff" but yeah, I also rode way more so it's definitely a false economy. Maybe for longer rides/races I'd think about going a bit skinnier, simply because the 50mm I have up front is pushing the clearance limits.

do people consider 9.5kg to be heavy?
interesting..
-
• #18016
9.5kg is just ny racks and bags, that's before the load, the bike, the rider, the seat ornaments, the 4 klean kanteens.....
