Which model is it exactly?

Polestar 2 looks a lot smaller in the flesh, first one I've seen.
ID3 is very nice too, can't wait to see the R.

Id3 looks okay, but if we're allowed to be totally honest I think it lacks style. I like the Honda E much more.

Honda E looks incredible. Shame it's £££ and has a shit range.

What's the forum approved 7 seat SUV?
Rationale for mega barge ownership is that we live in the countryside, have 2 young kids and ageing parents and it would be nice to get both kids and one set of parents in for day trips and family holidays. I want space for a dog, camping kit and bikes too (not all at the same time).
Budget is flexible to a point but i can't see us spending XC90 or Discovery 4 money. What do people make of the Kodiaq?

It depends on how easily you get annoyed behind the wheel and how you drive. If you think your current driving style would need no adaption to conform to the black box requirements, I'd say go for it. If you think you'd have to adapt your driving, you might find it more difficult to stay within the boundaries/tolerances that the black box sets. I think newly passed drivers find it easier because it's a continuation of how they drove when they learned and passed their test. Drivers who have got a number of years of experience under them find it difficult to un-learn their habits and re-learn "perfect driving" again.

I had one fitted to our old Isuzu pick up (RIP). To be honest i forgot it was there, i never had any issues or queries from the insurance company. It was very hard to break any speed limits in that truck though anyway

They do look ace.
If they had 200 mile+ range (for the same money) they'd be flying off the shelves.

Cheers, I’d seen a couple of these Polestar on the road and did have a clue what they were.

Hate wing cameras, been noticing them on new buses too. Makes it impossible to make eye contact with the driver when you are cycling

Love it so much.

Haven't had that pleasure yet, but I can see it being an annoyance in urban settings.

It's annoying because I do like the look of the car

Only driven a couple of things with wing cameras.
Not great with a low setting sun.
At night led lights can strobe.
Also at night it can be hard to tell whether the light is strobing or if it’s emergency or warning lights. Colour definition isn’t great when it’s dark. -

The SD1 was awesome but there were all kind of Friday versions out there. BL was a mess at that stage.
The Lotus was a basket case and I'm not sure he ever really got a hold on it. I've seen one parked in a garage out in Surrey looked mint. For me the Lotus aura was a bit spoiled by the Marina door handles.

No direct experience sorry. But broadly speaking, any turbo engine can respond well to a mild tune. The 2.0 litre e888 engine in VAG cars responds very well to tuning but some of the smaller 1 litre triples are probably already quite stressed.

I had no idea about this. Explains why Admiral gave me some money back when I moved from a house with a driveway in a quiet suburb of Leeds to one without one in London's famous London.

I think I’ll give it a miss this time around and have a think

Do you want a long answer or a short answer?
-

Are they both no?
Genuinely interested as to why, my limited car knowledge is expanding. I understand the Bluemotion 1.4 TSI's are quite refined for what they are so would a remap stress the engine too much?

Would love a Honda E, they're not going to be used for road trips so I don't think the range is a problem
Regal in Southampton I'd back 110%.
That way I could backtrack 10% and I'd still be completely behind them.
