  • I do think the Brits in Spain are very stereotyped, which is I think not a good thing. Stereotyping furrin's like me in the UK is also unpleasant. It only encourages stereotyping/binary thinking.

    And many could not vote, many are really disgusted with it as well...

    They also got completely left behind by the UK government, got no help etc.

    Of course the -minority- that is flouting the rules that gets deported because they =really= are flouting the rules, it's not a sad situation of job losses/covid delays, cha... and there is an element of "we are so special cos we are from the UK" in =some= of them.

    Is "brits in Spain" shorthand for the UK flag waving types that refuse to learn Spanish and think they are special?
