  • mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm v tempting, will see if it comes to needing a slightly smaller tyre/ remove a halflink when i fit the new rear brake

blues have that bit of puncture protection on the main tread, which would be stealing all your precious watts/ saving your thumbs

  • Amazing stuff! Great find too, especially considering what your paid for it. Dibs if this doesn't work out for you.

  • Dibs noted - I'll build it so I can experience the geo. and see how I get on - if it's too much I'll certainly drop you a line - it'll be very much at home in your collection I think!

  • Most people seem to be able manage it. Don't think it's as difficult as you're making out really and certainly not rocket science!

  • Don't think it's as difficult as you're making out

But it's not as easy as it should be, if we have to use workarounds to get past software defects.

  • I have some 35 Paselas on my pomp, always wanted some of the 33.5 JB’s, sadly the tan walls seem to have disappeared from planetX. Nice to hear some feedback, seems like they’d be a nice upgrade.

I think they’re similar weight?! I have some 32 paselas on a different bike and I’m not too keen on them as they’re too rigid (#toomuchpressure?) might swap them out for 30 mile munchers.

Need PX to have another tyre sale

  • Nice, purple hub ID?

  • they’re too rigid

Sounds like you pump them too hard, sidewalls are pretty thin.

  • Mile Munchers and Paselas are very similar I think. The green label JBs would be different.

FWIW I weigh ~68kg and these 30mm tyres feel about right around 70-75psi for me. Tweak your pressures?

  • sidewalls are pretty thin.

    ^ this. Paselas are nice

  • Single sided fixed hub from Mental.

  • Thanks @gbj_tester for the pedals !!!

  • That Maxi Sports is great-fantastic paint scheme.

  • what are the tyres on the maxi?

edit - oops should be @gaston

  • Oh that track bike's lovely!

  • Michelin AXIAL Performance : )
    It's a cool paint yes : )

    Thanks guys !

  • Something Tasty

Correct, Einstein. However, I couldn't manage it at the time (server side errors, not mine). I am not some technological dilettante. Your comment is as about as useful as a glass door on a toilet.

  • It's a cool paint yes : )ting with a 'greater than' denote quoted text

Sorry, but that paint is not 'cool' at all.

    It is superb.

That is a crazy pressure range for a 30mm tyre. I have run 30mm Challenge Strada Bianca at 37F, 40R. I now run the 36mm version even lower.

  • Were you running tires 15-20 years ago? 70 psi wasn't crazy at all then.

  • crazy pressure range...

    Uh huh.

You mean ‘pressure’. Not ‘pressure range’ don’t you?

  • 36mm version

    Ok. That’ll be quite slow.

  • 37F, 40R

    For a grown, adult human?

Only if your system weight is 40kg (or maybe racing grasstrack) is that a sensible psi for 30mm tyres.

    You’re definitely doing it wrong.

  • Dug these tyres out of a cupboard but unfortunately on inflating I’ve discovered one has a tiny tear at the bead. Does anyone have one or a pair stashed away gathering dust?
