I remember seeing a BBC interview with an 'ex-pat' about 6 months after the referendum who was incensed because the vote was going to affect her pension (from memory). Her words were along the lines of 'although I live in Spain, I voted for Brexit because I didn't think it would affect me'. Brilliant!!!
I also work with someone whose father spends most of the winter in Spain every year, he also voted for Brexit and has now applied for Spanish residency otherwise he cannot carry on with his usual winter exile. Not sure if he realises this will impact his UK status including access to the NHS. Oh well!!
