  • Serif Owners, any reason why I should not take the plunge ?

On the Samsung website the 55" is £899 with another £200 cash back. Seems a bit silly to me...Was thinking I could get JL to price match and then get the 5 year warranty?

Must admit the range has always interested me but I did not consider it, as a serious alternative to the Sony AG9 etc....but at that price I am wondering if I should stop being such a techno snob.

  • As Cozey says only issue is around getting a soundbar to play nice. I’m going to install a small shelf behind the tv to house the sound bar which with a 55 is fairly comfortably disguised.

Other than that I love it - catches a little more dust than a normal TV on the front edge and top but whatevs

  • Sony TV's literally have the worst software imaginable. Nobody has 30 seconds for the TV to do it's thing every time you change channel.

  • No reason at all the new ones are fantastic.

I have a Sonos Beam with mine, which is great as it uses Arc which means I can turn it on with voice AI.

Looks like the newer models manage multiple HDMI inputs better too (via an external box) so get EVERYTHING plugged in.
