That was the brushless unsensored stuff though. All the Absima / Gool stuff are these upsized 380s, hence they run quite hot.
Not sure you could put a 380 rotor in a 540 brushed can though.
Can you dick around with the timing or open it up to have a look?
Bitd a 17t double would have been viewed as a bit pedestrian...but who made it seemed to have a lot to do with how quick it would be.
Is interesting. Maybe there is something in the 380 / 540 can thing. The 17T with lipo is almost pedestrian. Will see if the 8T works any better.
I have some OG Kyosho / LRP motors in the Beetle / CLK and they seem to pack way more punch for turn no.
