Planet-X don't do sensible things like keep geometry charts for discontinued bikes available.

And the geometry charts that existed didn't always reflect reality

Seems v3 Pompino and Pompetamine were the same, but it changed a bit for v4.

Hey folks,
I'm in the process of building up my Pomp. I'm totally new to canti/mini-v breaks and not sure how they work with certain drop bar levers. I got a pair of Sram S500 levers in my parts bin and was wondering if they were compatible with TRP CX8.4 mini v-brakes. I would be thankful for any advice. Cheers -

no sane person can resist the sirens call of the hybrid for too long

Mini v = short cable pull so yes fine with road drops like the s500

Giving drops one last try after a year of lockdown back stretches.
Built for the famous Bromley/Croydon Gravel scene (ie 90% on road).

I like that but you must have barely any tyre clearance at the rear? My V4 was very close with 40mm rubber and those tyres you have look beefy.

Recent experience; 42mm workable, 47mm big no no

Cut the housing?!?!!

Also, doing errands riding fixed with flats and 2 brakes is surprisingly great.

I have those and guards fitted. Although it would be handy if the dropouts were a tad longer.

Just spotted a titanium pompino prototype on ebay (slightly cheaper on facebook marketplace) is this a one off? Kinda tempted but ita miles away up north.

I have occasionally considered sending my Pomp to China to have it copied in Ti

Thinking about shifting this as its too big for me to run drops on and I already have too many hybrids.
Will make a sale thread soon.

lol
you see what I mean by 'amey' just being a concept. Its a mirror and what you see is not always what you will like

Well Id also have to run an inline post which would sit me too far forward.
But in all honesty a large with some spacer stack would be ideal, as the aesthetic would be nicer overall too. My old Day one in a 56 was a lovely fit, also my Nature boy was a better fit.
Other projects take priority over trying to make this "fit"
I had always assumed they were the same bike with different brakes.
Is the geo different?
