There are cheaper 8293 offers from BrickLink, although none from the UK, so there may well be pain and extra cost involved in ordering them from abroad:

Any recommendations for a basic lego motor set suitable for an 8 year old? There seems to be an 8293 set that's been discontinued and not much else. Unless I'm getting confused which is quite possible.
Seem to be able to get them from ebay for 70ish which seems quite a lot for something she may not get into, considering I could get her some good Harry Potter Lego for same amount, which she would definitely be into.
