Ratty but solid Genesis Day One rim brake frameset. Reynolds 520 or 525 (can't recall).

Paint decent but tatty in places.

One small dent on underside of top tube - must have happened when locked up or in storage as no specific incident I can recall. Removed the paint around this as was going use to practice filling with silver braze and sand smooth but (a) I have no silver left and (b) I suspect this would be harder than I thought - the frame mods I have done before involved fitting add-ons, so the silver was drawn into the gap rather than melting a blob. It's also too shallow probably. Would fill easily with bondo/similar. Should have just left it!

    Would be a great don't-worry-about-it-much mixed-surface commuter.

Rear is 130mm. (Though I have used 135 and 130mm with no fuss).

No hanger for canti so you'll want a seatclamp-based hanger or Vs / mini-Vs

I ran it with 35mm Gravel Kings and other 35mm CX knobbies with tonnes of clearance.

Frame weighs about 2.15kg without forks.

These have fairly light forks given the general sturdiness of the bike. Around 870g

Frame weighs about 2.2kg. Don't shoot me if that's off - my scales won't go above

I can probably throw in other bits needed to make it more of a bike - 100mm Genesis Stem, basic compact drop bars and probably have a basic 27.2 seatpost too.

    Cane Creek sealed bearing headset.

Threaded dropout adjuster screws (not seized!) - no need for a tensioner.

The geometry is older - from before they used S, M, L sizing. It's closest to a small in today's ones.

    54cm c-t seat tube
    54.5cm effective top tube
    135mm head tube.

Been hanging up in garage for a few years unused. I have a nicer SSCX bike for occasional and no need for a singlespeed commuter in Sheffield, so...

Fit me fine at 5ft 8in (80cm cycling inseam) with a 'normal' fit - approx 5cm drop to bars. Well, that was before the hip and back problems affected my ability to ride road bikes at all but that's a separate issue.

£65, plus postage of £15 unless collected. (Last time I posted bike frames was about 2 years ago via Parcel Force - tell me if it's gone up. Prefer PF as can drop at local post office conveniently).

    Cheers!

  • @sacredhart didn't you just sell one of these a few weeks ago?

  • Yep.
This one is a bit shorter.
I also keep compulsively buying stuff I don't really need. It has to stop.

  • @sacredhart When you change your mind about this one I'll have it off you! :-)
