• This has been hanging around taking up space for too long and I'm getting in the neck from flatmates. Was planning to build it up into a fixie/ss but haven't got around to it and it's way too small for me. Though it is prime for it and is a lovely frame in good condition.

Late 70's/ early 80's, judging by components, O'Brien road frame. No wheels (am keeping the fixed wheelset in the pics).
Quite small: 51cm c-c seat tube
Bit of a mish-mash of components, but look to be all original. I understand manufacturers mixing and matching was all the rage in 70's/80's..:

    • Zeus crankset 53/ 38. But - front mech and the downtube lever for it is missing. Bit disappointing.
    • Campagnolo Rally RD
    • Cinelli bars
    • Weinmann Levers
    • Mafac Canti brakes
    • Shimano Dura-Ace headset - seems smooth
    • BB smooth also.
    • Zeus seatpost (v short)

Set of wheels, chain and crankset and its a fixie, or put a geared wheelset on and it'll be a nice little bike.

    We'll start at £100

Let me know if I'm way off... Pick-up from Brixton.

    Cheers

  • Now provisionally sold subject to collection

Now collected so no longer provisional!

  • Anything left?

  • All long gone I’m afraid.

  • Mafac Cantis and that Rally RD probably fetched £500 on the 'bay for whoever had this.

  • Hahah well great, wish you’d told me this back in July!
That’s what you get for not knowing your vintage components I guess...
No skin off my nose though, I didn’t lose any money

  • Those cantis really are the proverbial hens' teeth! I guess I wasn't on the forum much cos I got some work then. Would have bit your hand off!

  • Frame is bloody gorgeous too, wouldn't have fitted me either.
