Czech Budvar in 500ml tins is ace

Lovely, that was my dad’s favourite drink after a Guinness. There’s a new Czech beer palace opening on Old Street post lockdown, Pivo.

Was great, can confirm.

Don’t know why, but I’ve had such a strong hankering for this the last few days - and failed to find it in any of the local shops - so I got a same day delivery.

Love a lagunitas, picked up a couple today in Morrissons. Have in the 4 for 6 quid range.

Cracked my tin of the Buxton x Omnipollo Lemon Meringue stuff; not unpleasant, bit weird, not sure I'll be rushing out to buy more at a fiver a can.

Vocation Morello Red.
It's fruity and a little sour, a bit odd, not particularly great.
Cherry, Trappist, red wine barrel aged.

Unfortunately I've had a fair few fails from Vocation recently.

Opened the second of the German beers I picked up a week or so ago tonight and f-me if it’s not another bacon beer.

My locals 7th Birthday DIPA 7.7%, tasty for a not an imperial stout.

Currently on Snowball from Waen Brewery. It promises to be a big chocolatey, coconutty, vanilla stout. I'm struggling with it a bit TBH.

Saw the Vocation Imperial Kirsch stout from Xmas in the Tesco Metro Covent Garden

^^^ I'm less drawn to flavoured stouts now. Just give me fresh tarmac / ash-tray at 9% plus.

I’m pretty lucky my corner shop does Lagunitas, Budvar, Sierra Nevada and even German Becks and Spanish San Miguel

Where did you get this from? I'm drawn to cherry beers like a moth to a flame. Even when they're bad (which is sadly more often than I'd like), I just can't resist...

Still the best beer you can buy from a Tesco shelf. 11% of Imperial Cherry Wow Juice.

Vocation themselves, online order.

Had to make a round trip which if I wasn't so forgetful wouldn't have been necessary. Consoled myself with a Tesco visit on the way... the DIPA seemed quite appropriate.

I know your local- ish to wood st, My mates Clapton Craft are opening a new shop / tap room on Wood st opposite the new post office.

Oh nice!

I still head to Stone Mini Mart in Leytonstone because they’re bloody brilliant but would be nice to have an alternative option
