According to what I've just seen on adsbexchange, the helicopters are military rather than polis.

At least one helicopter was G-DCPB which says POLICE in big letters down the side.

It is mostly black in a slightly militaristic way. When I was a lad police helicopters were white.

All kicking off here in Blackheath. Other half saw a car seemingly deliberately ram a police car on the A2 (at slow speed but still...), followed by at least half a dozen police vehicles incl. unmarked cars and a riot van turn up within five minutes. Looks like a pursuit on foot ensued, sirens eventually died down but can still here a helicopter buzzing overhead.
