Maybe the case. I would be interested in a similar experiment in London where the buildings are closer together and the sound reflects more. At the moment my own experience dictates that pedestrians are a bigger risk to my life than cars but it would be interesting to gather more evidence from a wider set of circumstances.

Wholeheartedly agree. Be it London or parochial Swindon, when cycling or motorcycling, pedestrians account for more than half the grief I’ve experienced.
In more exciting news, I’ll view the XJ600 later if all goes to plan. View today, then if any good pick up by the weekend.
In the mean time I also had a line on a Bandit 600 mk1, but I’m afraid that it has an equal risk of endorsements as faults to rectify.
