Looking at something for my Spacehorse to commute on. Probably 40-ish to fit under the mudguards. The commute is 85% road 15% gravel, if not less than that. I was using Vittoria Hypers and they were okay, but I was getting a few punctures and they weren’t that great on wet gravel. Before that I was using Clement (now Donnelly) MSO X’Plors in 40 and they were great. Was looking at Panaracer Gravel king’s in 38’s (the 43’s I was going to get just sold out in the price I’m willing to pay) and the Specialized Sawtooth in 42’s.
I haven’t heard much about the Sawtooth. Anyone had experience with them? I’ve heard good and bad things about the GK’s. Can get the GK’s and Sawtooth for a similar price. I’d like to fit the biggest tyre I can under my guards. I won’t be running them tubeless.
