testing in a paper and also in my own experience stages' unit to unit variance is substantial, worse than other brands. and at least in my case l/r balance varies according to a bunch of things and isn't consistent over time. makes the readings neither consistent nor accurate. how relevant that is i guess depends on how hard you stare at your numbers. i've been much happier with the garmin and quarq i have now (more with the latter).
I'm comparing power meters on price.
Are you saying Stages or perhaps crank-based power meters are useless? In what way?
