  • ugh, riese and muller packster 70 delayed for a second time, til early May. Should have been here last week.

I know your pain, pretty much everything we've ordered that wasn't a Charger3 has been delayed multiple times.

  • Well they is putting me off. Any anyone in a shop stocking the cube cargo?

  • Thanks.

  • Urban arrow is better value still

  • I need to test ride really.

Really the question for me is not what cargo bike, it's can I integrate it into my life. If the answer is yes then I can work out which. I have the offer of a loan of a bullitt from someone on here. I just need to sort out a time to pick it up. If i can make that work on the 5 mile round trip to nursery then I can start the agonising over which one.

  • 5 mile round trip? You NEED one. I am not even kidding. Get it sorted asap.

  • November 20th :(

  • went for grey/black. I don't usually like red bikes but now sorta wish i'd gone for the red as it looks nice! Single battery - not sure our use case justfies the extra cost for double battery.

Trying to figure out what the exact delay is - if it's something like the canopy i'd rather just get the bike and deal with the canopy another time/when its in stock!

    This.

Not a riese und muller then

I work at an R&M dealer - The delay is 100% Covid totally shagging every step of the production process. It's not just the P70s that are delayed, pretty much everything has been pushed back at least once.

  • Not sure if this fits in functional or here (or anti?), but I love my Clydesdale fork

  • This.
Literally every day I get a cust asking "but WHY isn't there any ...insert literally anything... available, I want it now, because I want it."
Most listen to my well rehearsed 30 second whirlwind information dump about why a niche industry is struggling during the worlds worst pandemic/economic implosion, and then update their tone to 'oh thanks, well, keep me informed and I won't pester you any more'. But you get the odd one who goes off at the deep end, as apparently its my fault for not stocking that obscure mech hanger that you've broke. These people are getting rarer though, which is a relief!

  • sadly not, get whatever you can find in stock

  • Bullitt stock is decent at the moment except for EP8, unless you don’t mind what colour you have in which case you may get one before June

As others have mentioned though yeah Brexit has caused some major delays, we had an eBullitt shipped from Cph on December 14th arrived with UK Customs on Dec 17th and the bike didn’t arrive with us until mid February thanks to slow processing at Customs, it does seem to be getting marginally better as we progress through the year though

  • We got a few WiFi Cargo framekits and completes in various sizes and colours as we can definitely use the groupsets with other projects if people just want framekits.

Plus a handful of Classic Mini and Classic Mini Variant completes on their way, we’ve got some Cargo frames we can build up if people want Minis as frames

  • any idea when you are likely to get mini-max wifi's back in stock/on pre-order?

  • Omnium say May/June which should mean pre orders go live May for June shipping, which if you’re in the UK means your Dealer will probably get it around July time

  • Just gonna pop this in here... sorry, not sorry!
I am still in love with mine👌 I’m looking at getting matching pair of continental x-kings for it and dropping the mudguards for max width and radness!

  • Although that little hook is clever I'd still say bungee cords are death. Embrace innertube upcycling, they really are better as well as safer!

  • bungee cords are an extremely common source of devastating eye injury. this comes up about once every three months in this thread. as an eye doctor I recommend finding some alternative that isn't elastic with a giant hook on the end of it. A ratchet strap is the ideal course.

you can google image search "bungee eye injury" for yourself. ;-)

  • I did manage to give myself a black eye with an inner tube once though...

Said eye still works fine now though. Probably wouldn't if there was a hook involved
