What’s the fit like? I’m a medium in Rapha bibs. Also @ghostface

• #5404
every time i check this thread i hope to see someone post some nice merino tshirts, a medium weight flannel, a new brand of high stretch, reinforced gusset, articulated knee, slim straight jeans

Campagnolo Palladio - both short and long-sleeve - look great and work very well; I would also recommend PedalEd. Both are, of course, reassuringly expensive as is the rouleur list.

The last two are in the pipeline somewhere I know*
*also appreciate this may not be something you're genuinely looking for, I'm not sure how many layers of meta I'm reading on this forum any more, but fuck it

i live for a cycling brand to make clothes as good looking, practical and inspect my wallet as well as arcteryx :relieved:

Turning back the clock to 2008, Chrome. Have a couple of the flannels. Get an icebreaker merino tee, you only need 1.

The hope is that wallets aren't inspected too closely but I guess we'll see

They definitely feel tight; I guess they marketing spiel would call it "compression"?! I'm 62kg or thereabouts and 6'2, maybe a medium would have been baggy on my thighs which is what I always found with Rapha, even in a small TBH. Sigma had them on offer at £100, and you can get a tenner off so @£90 I reckon they're decent. The straps have lots of give so they don't crunch your shoulders down. Quite hard to take a piss in though. Hope that helps!

Thanks.
Update: Rapha Core bibs have shown strong growth in 2021. I have updated the spreadsheet.

Almost nothing is stylish.
I think I've made that complaint about half a dozen times.
Still, it's addictive and I can't tear myself away. :)

Outlier used to make trousers with a nice cut, enough flex to cycle in and a price that made me wince although I haven’t been keeping up with them lately

do you even
arcteryxveilance bro -
• #5416
veilance is for gibsonian man children who collect copies of monocle, i would never.

gibsonian

Those search and state flannels look nice but cant help but feel they're at that price point where it's just like "not special enough to replace ebayed EG" and not cheap enough to replace "ebayed Pendleton/dickies/made in portugal brand which closed 4-5 years ago"
i will put them in my ebay search lists for a few years times tho,
outlier drank their own coolaid and after years of r/mfa coders hyping them, i could never give them money. along the same lines, i had a nice set of swerves which got too big for me, but they do not spark joy enough to buy another
stone island used to make these sweet commuter pants (not the boring reflective cuffs), but articulated, and panneled, stretch gusset, under mainline not sisp so they didn't look too cosplay. wish they still did.

Pendleton, Dickies
Too common. Try Kidur (although it'll take weeks to clear customs).

i'd just to make it clear i don't really own any buzz rickson, veilance, or even dorkshdw.
i do own at least 4 thinkpads (older x models ofc with various mods) tho.
i don't own any vinyl and/or posable figures though. pls advise.

I know what you mean about the S&S price point. I’d like a flannel but once I’ve spent that much on one I’m just going to wish that I’d ponied up for one from the flat head that isn’t in stock anywhere for long enough for me to work out exactly what size I am and get it ordered

JB1-S
ambiguous reference. cannot resolve.
These Neon Velo Prince Albert’s (I presume that’s what the PA bit stands for) certainly seem to be taking themselves pretty seriously in all their Insta photos.
Has none told them cycling should be fun and should make you smile?
