  • Okay, so what am I missing ... I have a Cannondale Synapse 105 (rim brake). When riding, the gear indexing is fine, nice and quiet and no rub. When attached to my Kickr Core, it is noisy as hell, the rear derailleur seems to be unindexed, and the chain line seems to be different as the chain rubs on the front derailleur.

    • Same cassette used on both the wheel and the trainer (11 speed Shimano 105 R8000 11-28)
    • Correct rear axle width set-up (130mm, using Adaptor A and B in the 130mm config as shown here)
    • No spacers (as instructed).

    What am I missing?

  • using Adaptor B

Should be Adaptor A and B.

The distance from the cassette registration face (where the big sprocket pushes up against the hub) to the drive side hub axle lock nut face (where the axle pushes up against the dropout) is different between the two set ups. You're either going to have to shim one of them to match the other, or you're going to have to adjust your gears every time you swap.
