• We are putting a shower in the loft bathroom and keeping a bath on the first floor (I would say "main" bathroom, but both are tiny). ms_com is saying she wants the bath to have no shower over it. I reckon it would be handy to keep it. Especially if we get the shower pump sorted to service both rooms. Currently, with the bath on the same floor as the hot water tank and no pump, it takes about 15 min to run a toddler depth bath.

Also, our hot water smells a bit like feet. Is that just an old HW tank problem?

  • mostly likely so, does your cold water smell?
if not look to drain the hot water tank and see if that helps

  • does your cold water smell?

Nope. Will drain when it's not being heated and see if that improves it. It's not super bad. Only get a feint whiff when running a bath. Doesn't make us or any of our stuff smell (to my knowledge).
