I need to order replacement keys for my Kryptonite lock but the serial number is very worn down on the key. I tried to do a rubbing with a piece of paper and pencil but didn’t work.
Any ideas on how I can reveal the number?
Your key number is typically 1-2 letters (your Key Prefix), followed
by 4 to 6 numbers (your Key Number).
the serial number is very worn down on the [kryptonite] key
If they’re the same as Ford keys used to be the slant angles are the same as the numbers, a locksmith should be able to decode them with a bitting chart.
